Things to Do near Leesburg and Washington, DC
Welcome to Leesburg and Washington, DC! If this is your first time to DC, you definitely need to make sure you spend some time in the capital to take in all the sights and sounds. We've put together a pretty good overview of some of the best (touristy and not-so-touristy) places to visit and things to do while in town.
Whether you've been to DC before or not, we can almost guarantee you've never spent much (if any) time in the Leesburg area. Even before we were engaged we would visit northern Virginia at least once a month. In our book, NoVa is know for two things: wine and hiking. If you get the chance, be sure to try both (bonus points if at the same time)!
